Social Workers wear many hats, and at Ozark Health, that is no exception. Deena Rath is over the Social Work at the facility, and she is a busy lady.

On any given day, Deena can be found doing inventory on personal belongings for new and existing residence. She also works hard to find out their social history. She makes it her mission to get to know about them-not only about their life, but their goals and overall mental well-being. She also handles behavior issues and looks for ways to reduce them, while giving advice and guidance.

Deena is also the grievance officer for the Nursing Facility at Ozark Health. When things are missing or a complaint is made, she works will all parties involved to find lost items and help resolve complaints. She also works alongside MDS coordinators and the Activity Department in assessments of the residents.

On a more personal level, Deena moved to Arkansas from California in 2011, and started working for Ozark Health in October 2011.  In 2014, she married her husband Dale, and they have 3 children-Matthew 23, Madison 14 and Jesse 10.

Deena takes care of Precious, the Ozark Health therapy dog, and they also have a German shepherd. In her spare time, she loves hiking, camping and painting.  She also loves butterflies, and is an avid Mickey and Minnie Mouse fan. Deena also serves on the Alread Fire Department as a fire fighter and first responder. She is currently working on becoming part of the CERT program to help in natural disasters.

Ozark Health is certainly blessed to have Deena and the many hats that she wears. If you see her out this week, please let her know how appreciated she is. She certainly makes Ozark Heath a better place.
